Gough Island in the South Atlantic was declared a World Heritage Site in 1995 and received Important Bird Area Status in 2013. During COVID in 2021, Ian Mackintosh joined SV Urchin on a mission to remove invasive mice responsible for the near-eradication of critically endangered seabirds. He told us his story at our Feb Sailors’ Scuttlebutt.
