Get ready for the absolute best sailing dinghy regatta! We’re hitting the water on the weekend of 30–31 January 2027 on the stunning Berg River in Velddrif. Expect an incredible weekend of racing, a great braai, and that legendary West Coast camaraderie.

What’s Happening on the Water

  • Saturday: Two fun, action-packed races up and down the Berg River.
  • Sunday: A third epic race heading out of the Laaiplek Harbour mouth and straight into St Helena Bay (all racing is weather permitting, of course!).
  • Bonus: You’re racing alongside friendly flamingos, pelicans, and sandpipers in our gorgeous, Ramsar-protected estuary.

Join us at the POYC clubhouse for some great food over the weekend:

  • Friday, 29 Jan: Build-A-Burger & Chips R95 p.p.
  • Saturday, 30 Jan: Breakfast (Toast, Egg, Bacon, Cheese & Coffee/Tea) R65 p.p.
  • Saturday, 30 Jan: Snoek Braai (Sweet Potato, Salad, Bread & Jam + Ice Cream) R110 p.p.

Note: Hot dogs (R35) and cold drinks will also be on sale at Rooibaai on Saturday.
