Get ready for the absolute best sailing dinghy regatta! We’re hitting the water on the weekend of 23-24 January 2027 on the stunning Berg River in Velddrif. Expect an incredible weekend of racing, a great braai, and that legendary West Coast camaraderie.

What’s Happening on the Water

  • Saturday: Two fun, action-packed races up and down the Berg River.
  • Sunday: A third epic race heading out of the Laaiplek Harbour mouth and straight into St Helena Bay (all racing is weather permitting, of course!).
  • Bonus: You’re racing alongside friendly flamingos, pelicans, and sandpipers in our gorgeous, Ramsar-protected estuary.

Join us at the POYC clubhouse for some great food over the weekend:

  • Friday, 29 Jan: Build-A-Burger & Chips R95 p.p.
  • Saturday, 30 Jan: Breakfast (Toast, Egg, Bacon, Cheese & Coffee/Tea) R65 p.p.
  • Saturday, 30 Jan: Snoek Braai (Sweet Potato, Salad, Bread & Jam + Ice Cream) R110 p.p.

Note: Hot dogs (R35) and cold drinks will also be on sale at Rooibaai on Saturday.
