The weekend of 21 – 23 November 2025 offered a fantastic opportunity for some POYC sailors and social members to meet and forge new friendships with our fellow sailors at Saldanha Bay Yacht Club.
Unfortunately the Cape Doctor extended her reach to the West Coast rendering it a little unpleasant for us to sail down to SBYC, but that did not stop us from staging a Raid anyway – just by land!
On Saturday, whilst we didn’t have our own boats present, we were graciously invited to take part in the Middleton Cup Around the Island pursuit race as crew on SBYC members’ vessels.
The event was followed by a delicious steak braai and festive atmosphere at the clubhouse.
